THINGS TO KNOW before applying:

Thank you for taking the time to apply as a vendor with Piper & Chloe! We LOVE our vendors, and feel so much excitement and satisfaction as we watch your products and shops take off!

The shop owners of many of your favorite local shops & boutiques, scout our show to find the fresh, original looks our vendors are so great at producing, so it is a great opportunity to get your name and company out there in the spotlight! We celebrate your hard work, your creative genius and talent. Thank you for your application!

Please note that we are exclusively a HANDMADE event.

In order to stay true to the aesthetic that we are so well-loved for; (a vintage inspired, hip little boutique), we do not allow for much overlap within our show. Therefore, there will be a very limited number of vendors selling the same items.

The fees for the Spring Showcase 2012 are as follows:

- Entrance fee for our spring showcase is $45. This fee is non-refundable.

- Commission fee is 18% of your total sales.

- Optional blog feature is $10.

Our blog receives a tremendous amount of traffic in the weeks preceding and following the show. It is a great opportunity to give your products lots of additional exposure, as well as direct target clients right to your shop or blog.

Each vendor is allotted a 6’ x 2 1/2’ space. We encourage variety and creativity in your display. We love to see cute furniture (tables, chairs, etc.) used for your display. If using a folding table, it must be covered – no exposed legs. Large wire rack displays are discouraged. For ideas on what other vendors have used in the past, please see our blog (piperandchloe.blogspot.com) and click on ‘a peek at past showcases’ in the sidebar.

The Piper & Chloe Spring Showcase will be held in Salt Lake City this Spring. The location is adjacent to the DS Furniture Showroom, located at 2140 South 300 West.

1. Arrive on time for set up and take down. (You will be notified of these times by April 1st.) Please note you will be charged a $25 late fee if you arrive outside the scheduled time.

2. Have your inventory marked securely and clearly with your vendor number. Piper & Chloe is not responsible for items with ineligible handwriting or lost tags.

3. Piper & Chloe assumes no responsibility for lost or damaged inventory. Although rest assured, we take great care to monitor all displays very carefully throughout the entire show.

Are you getting so excited for the showcase!?

Gosh it's only been two maybe three days and I'm just shivering with anticipation! Do you remember the goodness that has graced the Piper & Chloe showcase halls in the past? The whole theory behind this showcase and why we shy away from the word boutique is because every time that word is uttered I envision a red barn full of straw and random crafts. As you know, the Piper & Chloe showcase so much more than a stroll through a hideous barn, my friends. Our vendors are among some of the most up and coming talent in the beehive state. Our show is streamlined to include all things modern, vintage-inspired, and original. The girls behind Piper & Chloe take this showcase to a whole different level by creating a lovely and unique shopping experience you won't soon forget. Making this really, a once in a life-time opportunity!

So with that said...do you think you can offer the showcase something awesome, original and amazing? If so, we'd LOVE to have you as a vendor. We will have vendor applications ready for you here, Feb. 1st-15th.

Okay, if your mouth is not watering yet, there is seriously something wrong with you. Whimsy Cupcakes produces the most scrumptious little cupcakes you ever did eat.

The menu includes items such as Luscious Lemon: a sweet lemon cake topped with lemon zest buttercream and lemon candies; Death By Chocolate: I'll definately be taking a few of those; and, Breakfast at Tiffany's: Chocolate cake with a hint of coconut topped with blue coconut buttercream and edible gems. Yumma!

From the North on I-15:

"I grew up playing with vintage toys in my grandmother's basement and I've never quite outgrown that love for classic and well designed children's items. There are some things about childhood that are timeless and my goal is to provide those in a simple and beautiful way."

"One of my favorite items are my handmade birthday hats. These are hand sewn out of beautiful materials and each one is one of a kind. I love these because each time I design one I imagine the life it will have as part of someone's family for special occasions. I was stopped at the mall by a stranger that wanted to know where I got my baby carrier. She wanted me to make one for her and suggested I start a business."

"A couple weeks later my sister in law came to town and told me that she was making bows! Make bows? Why didn't I think of that? "It's all about the fabric for me. Finding prints and textures that fit both mom and baby are the most important part of creating my blankets. The fabric is what determines which buttons, ribbon, and other notions used on that blanket. It's so much fun to give each blanket and accessory their own flair and style!"

The inspiration for my designs come from my heart, trying to add a little sparkle to someone else's life through my glass art brings me joy. I met a friend, Pat, who taught me how to do stained glass, and have used this medium to express myself and to share my inspiration with others. Inspired by..."a lot of things! I like the Uncommon. I think you can find inspiration through almost anything in life."

"I got started after going through interior design school, working in the field for an architect for a couple years, having a cute baby, and then needing a creative outlet as a stay at home mom. I have been sewing since I was seven. I call myself a "free lance" sewer, because I don't like to follow patterns, I like to make my own, or "sew from scratch" as I put it. The sparks flew after having a baby and I fell in love with sewing all over again. With a background in interior design I love to sew decor pillows. Also I wanted to sew cute modern things for my baby, and so that is what has lead me to where I am now, and hopefully it will continue to progress!"

We are so excited to be featuring modern thread at the holiday showcase on Dec. 5th and 6th! Come ready to be inspired by great design!

Last week I was laying in bed trying to fall asleep and mulling over an idea that has been growing in my brain for the last while. My idea is to have a weekend holiday showcase (aka boutique, but if you must know i am not really very fond of the word boutique. I don't know why. I think maybe because it comes after the words quilted bear.)

Anyway, it would be full of lovely hip and modern craftiness. Colorful, vintagey, inspirational. Sort of like a walk through your local anthropologie. (I'm telling you, it was a blissful way to fall asleep.)
